1,2Ghz AMD system (in game is unknown because there are so many services and drivers disabled that even windows system properties display a Unknown CPU, No RAM and no specs)
512MB - around 60-70MB of system use
Soundcard???
MX440 64MB
Camera has little effect on performance, no matter close or far, 5 or 7 fps difference.
Small divide and 2 RAI bots runs fine.
The much overplayed DSD, Metals, Tabula, Castles and similar maps. With 1vs1 = smooth at the very beginning, not smooth after just a while. 4 players = lag lag lag. More players = NO NO NO! FPS when the battle is taking place with thousands of units moving = 3fps.
By activating "L" the game runs 100% faster.

I've already told about my system and results:
http://spring.clan-sy.com/phpbb/viewtop ... 463#237463
But some new informations:
So, I have a Duron 1300 Mhz, 512 Mb SDRAM (~113Mb taken by the system, a crappy integrated sound card (AC 97), and a Geforce 2 MX/MX 400 Hercules 32MB.
I have spring installed on my secondary slower hdd (super-fragemented btw, didn't have time to defragment yet), and a partition of 2 Gb of swap placed at the start of my newest hdd.
In the past week, in no multiplayer games I played (mainly BA, XTA and CA a little bit) I have experienced slowdowns to the point of being unplayable.
And that includes a 8vs8 on DSD!
Of course, sometimes, when lots of units are present, it can become somewhat choppy. But that happened only in few games.
I recently tried to play BA less, and concentrate on other mods, and I have experienced a weird problem. On some maps (most of the time the biggest), my framerate suddently drops to 2 when there is any nanospray present on the screen. This happens with XTA and JTA on Tempest (20x20) and Supreme Battlefield (32x32), but NOT on Small Supreme Battlefield (16x16).
It also happened once with JTA, when I loaded a saved game on DSD after sometime. On a second load this didn't happen.
Never had this problem with BA... What could cause this?
I have another graphical glitch: when there is water on the map, when you zoom out, the water edge becomes more and more jagged, sometimes finally covering the whole map with water.
I didn't notice any serious improvement with line of sight shown, but I usually leave it on the whole game, so I guess I'll have to test it. I doubt it's caused by shadows, since the GeForce2 doesn't support shadows anyway.
PS:Oh, and by the way, I've met one player, going by the nick of nanoman, whose system specs show 0.5 Ghz!

Camera mode: Rot OVerhead pointed top down in more or less a isometric perspective. (45 degrees)
Lua UI disabled
1024 x 768 x zbuffer 16bits
minimap minimized (the graph performance was showing that the minimap alone was eating 10% of my CPU!!!!!!!!!)
No more 3fps during heated battles, assuming that I don't move the camera to where most of the units are battlling. 30% or more improvement.

Went in the registry and added two dwords: nosound and hideinterface.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SJ\spring

Settings.exe doesn't access all commands =/
I also lowered resolution to 800 x 600 winowed mode, full screen in that resolution is horrible.
