This is one of the things which made the whole thing so laughable.

Tired is 100% correct in all his points. It is ok to use a derivative work of a derivative work of a derivative work without credit or permission because he asked nicely and was replied with a 2 sentence response, and tro is an asshat.

Haha, it is so funny I am rolling on the ground laughing

Damn straight most of us aren't modders. We are developers, we create our own content.

Have fun being a modder tired, don't get your panties in a knot.

This doesn't even make any sense.

BTW, I do have a lot of respect for people who make all this stuff and wouldn't take something without being given permission.

Why wouldn't it make sense? I haven't stolen a damn thing, yet, and I intend to never do so.

Argh and smoth, kdr, nemo, spiked... The list goes on of developers.

By the way, developers as in developing games/mods, not developing for spring. Just incase you got hung up on that...

SourceForge doesn't need that anyway, there's a link provided for reporting abuse.

Tired will simply move to another server.

If you had looked at the units more closely when you extracted the saucer, you would have noticed that Talon borrows way more from Aeon than your arm =)

I didn't give more than a cursory glance at your Talon, Reg. They never interested me. Then again, they weren't a terribly likeable, or functional, race in Lost Legacy, which'd used them a year ago in Spring to little positive effect. From what I've seen, though, they've ended up using more the theme of SupCom's 4th race than its 3rd. 0o

A SupCom unit, on the other hand, to match the one that I already had was very interesting indeed.

You seem awfully hung up on the fact that I asked politely and then ignored your response, though. Point of fact, I had every intention of using the model all along and had already included it in the mod when zwzsg, who'd contributed the Monkeylord, started telling me that I should ask permission to soothe your ego. Something about him betraying you in the recent past and feeling guilty about it - all very complicated, I'm sure. You should know by now that your opinion is largely irrelevant, and that I'll gladly return discourtesy for discourtesy.

As for SourceForge, feel free to complain all you like - it was only intended to be a more convenient download repository while UF had its troubles with the mod (which've been resolved now, thanks for asking =).

All the same, keep harping on it - you can get posthumously sainted for your martyrdom or something. I'll even put in a good word for your remains. ~~

Snipa, I'm sure that you've got a long and impressive resume to back up your somewhat underdeveloped opinions. What exactly have you contributed to AA again? You can spend all the time you want creating code no one will ever want or use, but that's like building a sandcastle at night - no one'll ever see or appreciate it (not that it's intended for others to begin with), so the exercise is completely futile. Try to pattern your life after Kermit - that was a frog that kept on giving. =)

What have I contributed to AA...? Nothing. Why would I contribute anything to AA, and why would you believe I had, or even ask me about me what I didn't do?

He is implying that since your project has never seen a public release and is for all intents and purposes - to the majority of the community - vapourware, you're stepping out with no support and your efforts are meaningless. I'm reducing the transliteration to the basics, Tired, so feel free to clarify.

So, since he tweaked a few things.

No, "modded" a few things, he thinks he has the right to say my game is vapor-ware? Heh heh heh, that is actually kind of funny.

Though the AA part still puzzles me :|

In Tired's oppinion anyone whose mod is less popular than AA/BA is worthless as a modder. Except for him because he is special.

I'd like to mention that the attention whore's ego kinda feeds on attention unless you stop feeding it. Man why do these forums not have an ignore list. Would solve so many problems.
7. Dodging or ignoring moderators actions is unacceptable and will result in an immediate long term ban in most cases.
8. Posting hacks or illegal/malicious files for download.
Also, why isn't he banana'd yet for ban evasion? What are these rules for anyway, you lot might as well remove the thread. Also, adding content theft to it might be a good idea.

Yeah, he's a very speshul kid.

To get back on track:
My idea of a an ideal OTA to spring port is fixing OTA bugs while leaving the balance as it is. It's neither unplayable nor is there one side which dominates the other. So Classic TA is a very good starting point.

Graphics, effects or models can be replaced by higher quality stuff (remakes or free from IP) as seen fit.

The cavedog models are from 1997 and they're optimized to be seen from a certain angle, not fully 3D. So in my opinion it does matter quite a lot.

Yes, Snipa. Your work is vaporware. Suits your personality. =)

What I've modded is far more substantial than anything that you, Snipa, or you, KDR, have come up with, and it took me under a month of lazy work on weekends to do it. Maybe you should try to not suck at what you base your pride, such as it is, on. ~~

Since you, Rattle, can't seem to follow the thread of a conversation, I'll note once again that I've received no official notification of a forum ban, so as such none exists. The evidence would seem to agree.

Rattle, this thread is mine now, as established by a majority of the posters here. They could ignore me, but their (and your) wills are too weak. <3 me! ("")('w')("")
