I think it'll involve a commander in an air transport. I shall try it tonight, but first, how do I make AVI's ingame?
As for New gui layout, the enw gui code, what exactly can it support? Can it show animated images in the gui? Can it define things such as fading out panels? Is it limited to engine features or can it define arbitrary features such as those from a groupAI?
And does it affect the main menu UI? Or is it just the same text based menu again?
I shall have to take my time fiddling with my new connection to stabilize it so I can have a decent look at the code and access the TAI cvs.
btw a nice feature though maybe a little iffy would be the ability to place flash files in the UI... I dunno, might be a little out of place in an rts..

ooh :) very spiffy gui, i like what you've done with the player stats, it looks very professional.
And i like the look of having a fixed sidebar more than a loose detached one that ends up seeming a bit cluttered... with maybe an option to go to detached panes like the current one for those that like it how it is i guess, if it hasnt been done already, but IMO the more TA-like approach in fixing it to the side is looking great for now :)

looking good... but im with buggi... if there are limits, we need to know how many bloody units we have easily. is the a posibility to have the whole spacebar thing so you can have a quick glance at whats going on with teams/enemies...Buggi wrote:I'd like for the GUI to display, somewhere, what the current unitcount is.
Sorta like what the Spacebar did for TA.
