I've decided to make a new map. I'm calling it HighNoon-Redux-V1
and I addressed the metal issues. I also, added some rock features. So,
here are some screen shot.

As it currently is? fail.

I'd change the heightmap a little and rename it so it isnt seen as a v2.

Then I'd add nice pretty brown golden sands with a hitn of green on the shores.

I'd then take out all the palm trees and add in smoths trees he used on his gundam maps as a replacement.

Then I'd back it up and post screenshots before taking anymore comments and suggestions.

If you did what i said it would be an improvement. The green grass texture wont work if its layered all over like carpet, it needs a shoreline to break it up and matching tree features.

See some examples of what i think below might work

Yes, I do like Supcom .... I liked the map, so I made a
Spring Map using my style of mapping.

I liked the white sands version better, too bad that one has a unbalanced metal distribution...

I redone the metal map I made for the redux version ..
Here is the new metal layout.

The metal out is 1.6 for a level 1 mex ...

Is this layout better ?

If this is "OK" I can update the map I released with this metal layout
and change the player starting positions. An upgrade the map to version
