Why can't be something even tinier, like Venator class? :P Or even just a Magic Class that you come up with... im sure there's soemthing in the canon somewhere to back it up.

Please please please incorporate both Argh's and Rune's entries if nothing else :O They are both pwn. Maybe give one to the rebels! YEAH! :D

Personally, I think RuneCrafter's second entry would make an excellent Barracks. The guns could be removed or scaled back. It's really an excellent model, though, and I think the mod would be better for its inclusion.

As for my entry... it's not supposed to be a ISD... WZ is right, canon scale would make it about as long as a big map in Spring, at SWS scales. I couldn't resist that shape, though- I tried some of the canon Imperial Landers, but most of them are boring, lunch-box like things, and this just felt right. Tricky model to build, too, which made it fun (aside from feeling like I was gonna puke halfway through- darn medium-rare hamburgers...).

That would be cool! Imperial and Rebel outposts or something. Like a forward base almost. Even better if they were units, as that way you could just build 1 or 2, and set them up at a strategic point where your making a new base, and move them if needed.

Well, the imperial barracks has already been modelled...

(Yes, we're hoping to get that shuttle to drop off units as they are built; we'll see if Spring can manage it.

Zsinj, just use them. FIgure out a place; there's going to be a need for them somewhere. It's a game, not a faux-historical documentary :P

Canon doesn't particularly bother me; a functional role within the game design of the mod does. As far as I'm concerned, units are made for roles, not the other way around.

Besides, it hasn't been decided who has won yet. After that has been announced you can all fetch your torches and pitchforks. ;)

That's a really low poly model for the barracks dude, most of the strain seems like it will coem from the Sentinel.

Why not just use Rune's model for the new Barrack and put a sentinel on that instead?

Because Rune entered to win the HQ competition, and is still in the running for it! :P

Given that Imperial stuff tends to have sharp edges, and the barracks is essentially a glorified landing pad, I don't think that is much more detailed then it needs to be.

Rune: I'm still waiting on an emailed submission from you. I can judge your entry from the images here, but seeing as you have it modelled, it would be nice to rotate it about in 3D and really get a feel for it. Thanks.
