Not a thud... :(
Either I'll remodel TA models or I'll recreate them. I'd rather do the latter, the legs on the OTA hammer for instance are a pain in the butt to model/make look good.

Thud, Hammer, whatever. I keep over three thousand units in my head from day to day, I'm allowed to mistake something when dredging the index.

Half of the space isn't used rattle..

Hmm.

I could remap his uvs but I am not sure you would want that. Can I have permission to tweak this unit/uvmap?

It still looks wrong no matter what.

If we are to argue realism a nanolathed shape would probably look more organic because that's better for absorbing stress.

Yes you're allowed to tweak what ever I made.

I wasted about 10-15% of the UV map because I'd like to keep the same level of detail on all (or most) areas (by using scale->normalize) and just didn't feel like redoing it again for an increase of maybe 5% in each UV area.

Anyway I still think it's fine, I should have assigned more space to the firepoint perhaps and less to the barely visible areas...

you guys spent a week on the peewee. There are about 200 TA units, so... get to work! And maybe it will take less than 3 years :P

a lot of work could be saved doing this, because XTA's comms and maverick (just as examples) are much higher poly and better looking than the BA models, which i believe are just directly ported from OTA.

That's your personal opinion. I still think they're horrible models and rather ugly. But that aside, this goes straight into the BA thread (or forum).

I'm loving all of these models. :D Especially the peewee ones. Gives an interesting idea for an E&E style of Peewee (multiple versions).

Rocko remake, ~410 tris and work in progress...

Does anyone know how to force yafray to use your smoothing groups instead of auto smoothing angle? That's annoying as hell... :(
