That is what I want to happen. The game speed should be a constant set before the game even starts. I am going to set the framework for this idea into the SpringClient, so that it can be implimented at some point.

I disagree adjustable game speed in game is needed. For instance, when dealing with lag lowering the speed can fix it. Also when players want to play it out instead of leave when the game is already lost, it is nice to have a + speed option to speed it up a little bit. However the max speed should not be this high, nor as low as it can get.

I'm for a host set speed only function. The voting and other stuff seems to complex for what it is. All the make everyone happy functions in spring, i'm not a great fan of that.

besides if you play with decent players you know, and the game speed for spring is right, no one will try to change it.

Indeed, I've never seen anyone speedspamming before...

Nonetheless, we need a reasonable upper speed limit that doesn't crash the game.

There is a .setmaxspeed .setminspeed in the new version that the host can use.

Sweet, that will be quite useful.

That can be added in "settings.txt" right? 8)

Very good but:
- Would it be possible to have the default values lower and higher than 0.3 and 3.0 ? Maybe 0.1 and 20.0 ?
- Could you list all commands inside /docs/readme.html ? If not, how are we supposed to know about them? (btw...)
