I only needed the rocket launcher for some enemy vehicals and the shot gun for the Floor. Everything else is a simple bang bang with the pistol and then they're dead. WTF, mate?

He hasnt got equipment? hes got his AR, hes got his suit, hes got his Titanium-enhanced skeleton.
His team plants a nuke, hauls ass outta there in no time, utterly PWNS the covenant in like 3 hours.

Halo books = nonsense.. NO one cares what he has in the books, because most people have not read them, dont intend to read them, and probably dont care that they havent..
Alot of people have played the game though.. alot.. and zoombie is right, the only 3 weapons you need to beat halo 1, are the shotgun, rocket launcher, and pistol, and its mainly the pistol..
The rifle sucks, it is more innaccurate than the shotgun, which makes less than no sense..
The sniper rifle only marginally outranges the pistol, and has a much slower fire rate, granted it can kill you in one head shot, as opposed to the 3 shots via the pistol to kill someone, it is far far far easier to get 3 shots off rapidly at somones head with the pistol..
And the covenant weapons.. WTF.. bunch of rubbish.. massive fail and rubbish.. only thing they had that was of any use was the plasma grenade.. There was one thing that always bugged me about the plasma weapons, for some reason they slowed you down when they hit you.. HOW.. and WHY.. that made absolutely no sense..
So yeah, given the uberness of the pistol, im surprised the covenent managed to even put up a fight, cause even on the ultra baddass legendary mode you could still pwn hardcore with a pistol...

MC comes back by shooting Omega in the nuts with the shotgun.
Due to phazon "steroid abuse" his were so small they got missed.
Omega uses the shockwave attack and "accidently" kills about 60 civilians, while bringing MC down to 2 bars of health left.
MC drops his weapons, screams like a girl, and runs like the devil is on his tail.
Omega pops his artillery weapon up and launches two shots at MC.
MC feels the suit ripped open after the first shot, after the second, it all blacks out.
