Okay since there won't be any judges anyway I'll call it a resource pool for skeletal stuff like humans, robots or what ever... all free to use for anyone as long as credit is given.Alright, I'm starting the second model competition.
Rules:
- under 1000 triangles (max. 1020)
- untextured (again)
- post finished model in obj format, other formats are welcome but obj is the most useful
- screenshot of the finished product please
Skeletal units include any kind of legged units, so anything bipedal or more is allowed. It can be human, alien, robotic, organic, etc., what ever you want.
The date when this competition ends is TBA.
Alright, happy modeling.
Models up to 3k polys are fine I guess, how many you use is up to you but I don't encourage adding useless polygons here. The models should be fairly optimized.
This is not intended to be a slap in the face for the people who actually spent lots of effort on making their models lower than the initial 1k polygons... the models are still fine. I think we should use this thread to show off random (skeletal) models, so you can get some criticism, advice (or ocassionally a skin if someone feels like it) and provide free stuff for everyone.
Rules are still in place:
- Post models in Obj format, other stuff like Wings/3ds is welcome
- UV mapped models are prefered (unless you can't do that for a living)
- Skinned final model is okay, not required though
- No more than 3k polygons (triangles!)
Also the polycount depends on what role the unit got. If it's something you'd spam in masses then go as low as you can. If it's some sort of relic unit you'll build once or twice a game (or a commander type of unit) then go ahead and make use of the limit.
Got Any objections then PM me.
If anyone with some more knowledge and experience in either modeling, skinning, UV mapping etc. feels like he wants to judge stuff, PM me too... if not, well can't be helped then.

About Intellectual Property, try to avoid it as much as possible (yeah I'm the one to talk with that Zenith).
That is all...
