Dgun Limit radius (or is it calculated via mapsize)

On some maps the dgun works on any part of the map.
I dont know how it is limited but if it is not calculated with
the mapsize it would be great to do so.

I played a game and set up some plasma towers to hold my base...
the enemy commander came and blow all of my plasma towers away
(3 with 2 shots and they where on a wall).
Don't get me wrong, i love the strength of the dgun but if you
could limit it depending on the mapsize that would be great.

There's a game option that limits D-Gun use to start area.

I think what they're saying is, the dgun limit should use a relative (to the map size) range rather than an absolute one, since on some small maps there's not much restriciton at all.

Heck, having a range slider in the lobby couldn't be that hard to add, right? :P

The limit range is calculated off mapsize, yes if thats what youre asking.
Compare the limit ranges on Epic with tinyme.

the dgun button should be greyed out or something when out of dgun radius.
or change the mouse icon or something.
