why certain people win on comet

I think its made with the right metal distribution since it was meant by the author to be played east vs west :)
good job on all those maps NOiZE
EDIT: yep if you want to look l33t then play top left, this chart is confirmed over and over again, its simple math and a simpe thruth, lok at the way the map makers mean the maps to be played. I should apply for a job with ISRB or sumthin' ^^

Sad truth is that a lot of maps are unbalanced for 1337 levels of play - you know, where the difference between 1 metal spot can make or break a game, especially as tourney play intensity picks up.
I think it would be an extremely worthwhile endeavor to write a program that would place symmetrical metal spots and distributions for certain maps.
However, for literally about 98% of games played, its not going to make much of a difference.
Edit: And raneti, this is for the HIGHEST levels of play, hands down, that its going to make a farking difference. Don't go crying "foul metal distro" just cuz you got your butt whooped

I repeat: NOiZE meant this map to be east vs west look at the default starting spots distribution by clicking on the minimap while in battlescreen.
Dragon45: spec some comet games made this way when its 13 metal spots vs 6 skill won't win, all you can do is defend(at best) but not for long.
Some more 1337 players tought convenient to argue with me, of course they lost and i spectated just to give them the told you so rofl. I just want people to know so some people play on they true skill and not with a head start.

Dragon45: in a 4v4 game top left has twice the metal bottom left has.Edit: And raneti, this is for the HIGHEST levels of play, hands down, that its going to make a farking difference. Don't go crying "foul metal distro" just cuz you got your butt whooped
Tought it was obvious but putting it clear now. It because of the distances between clusters of metal spots. This wasn't meant bottom vs top afaik(never tested it left vs righ tough but i bet its much much fairer).

Starting location on CC matter much less then some of you think (cough raneti). For example If I have 90% of winning chance vs someone when I am on top I'll have around 80% if I start on bottom. Also best place isn't top left but top right.
Just trust me on this one (and smugs, we play a lot on this map, some others).
Of course better metal layout wouldn't hurt :) (*cough* Noize *cough*, although I know what his reply will be
