Gundam is not my cup of tea because:

That was it. TA 3D has nailed down the ONE thing that has kept me annoyed, awake at night. I knew I liked Gundam Anhillation but ONE Thing was keeping me up at night. The textures are too clean. If there was a way to make them more dirty over time, that would be nice, but because there is not...you should dirty them up (just a wee bit. Don't want to be doing any...Waterworld things)

I really do agree with Zombie regarding Gundam textures. I think it would be look much better if not all textures would look that 'clean'. But I do not look at much anime so maybe this is intended ...

Maybe a "Mod of the day" as well as a "Map of the day" would encourage people to try out new things a bit more.

yo mamma is so fat, her commander can be seen from outter space!
Tested the mod yesterday, and I have to say I really like some of the funny units, like the gunperry or the hovertruck.
Imo, most units look really cool, even the basic tank with its arcing shots is somewhat special.
What confused me:
Why can the Federation-Commander build a gunperry transport? There never seems to be suitable "build space" anyway...
My friend played the Zeon (the one with the round commander spaceship) and complained about his tanks "not shooting, omg bug."
But maybe he was just too stupid or something

I don't really mind the anime-background of the game, I was just too lazy to try although I usually welcome any new mod/map.
All in all, this mod should be quite fun, I'll have to play it more to decide.

try the Zeon's dom or the federation's gmcannon, those are fun little units also.

right now, for some reason the gunperry needs perfectly flat ground... I have NO idea why. It is planned that if spring ever supports mobile factories that the gunperry would be built in the white base.

They are bugged and it is all spring, ILMTitan is working on a fix. At the moment a unit who has a limited fire arc will not always turn to aim and instead sits there broken until something comes into it's fire arc.

Thanks for giving it a whirl.

The bits are really more for the guys on this board who have not gotten scripting down yet. Some of the scripts are neat and some of them like the flamingass script are handy for people.

Seriously, that sounded so unappreciative.... "Justify to me why I should bother? Since you are offering FREE stuff from a mod that is not worth my download. ." dude, it comes across just like that. I do hope you actually show some gratitude to people who offer up something to you. Please, here is some food, my hand is juicy and good to bite. I really hope I have misunderstood you.

let's see..

Sheilds that blow off when units take certian levels of damage.
Units that become visibly unarmored when they too much damage
A few interesting animations.
some rather interesting rewrites of the moveanimation code.
Units that deploy a radar antenna when they are on and the antenna bends back when they move

Most if not all of the code was hand written so it is free to share instead of people stealing the OTA code. Also they are good for people learning scriptings as I have comments in some areas of my code. I am offereing it to help noobs. I know that it is no ZWZSG level stuff but it is good for a beginer. Bear in mind that scripts are the ONLY THING THAT I offer to others.

Even without the shiny things: Smoth is one of the only modders who doesn't recycle OTA scripts. Therefore, Smoth's scripts are legal - unlike the quasi-legal status of all the TA-derived mods. In other words, even if you're just making a basic Madness mode that uses like 3 units, it would be best to base them on Smoth's code so that it is _your_ mod and not Cavedog's.

Smoth, have you released the version with the epic coms and the bomber hitpoints fix? I powered this sucker up again today, and realized to my shame that I'm running the old version...

Also, when and if AAI ever gets running again you should totally get a learning file for it up. NTai blows at Gundam.

This is just a general poll to get an idea on why people do not play gundam. I will take it seriously so do reply in earnest. If you do not see your a relevent option please select other and let me know.
I LOVE GUNDAMS, I should give your mod a try, Gundam Wing was best, but they had HTH and melee attacks everywhere, so this one would be easiest, anyhow I should try and see if I like or hate

Edit: Scripting, just for me, aww you shouldn't have

The latest test version version should always be here - http://cs.selu.edu/~ssmith/suprise/

And there is one melee unit that works quite well...
