CA Updater, PyQt4 GUI for python downloader (win, linux)
Hi, I wrote a little PyQt4 GUI around the pydownloader code, which was not user friendly enough for me. All the code has been adapted to fit in a GUI environment. It's been tested on linux and win... but report here if you see bugs. I also would like to have the names of the authors of pydownloader ...

Re: [Ubuntu 8.04|KDE4]CA segfaults
Yet, spring runs fine with any other mod than CA... So it might / might not.aegis wrote:KDE4 crash might be a KDE4 bug, due to the beta state of KDE4
More info, the infolog.txt deletion did not do the trick. tested on KDE4 with and without desktop effects. Still results in segfault.

Re: [Ubuntu 8.04|KDE4]CA segfaults
Hi I reopen the thread to add info. Spring AND CA AND KDE4 crash at loading when they are together. This means that I can launch successfully BA or MA or Simbase over KDE4, or launch successfully CA under KDE3.5. Yet if I crash spring under KDE4, I will not be able to relaunch under KDE3 if I just c...

Re: Join back the game after crash
I was just wondering if reconnect could actually be handled like a huge ping... Sometimes we see players with outrageous pings (i.e. > 5 secs) and the player can resync in secs when the game is paused... So when the player joins back, pause the game and resync ? I know it is quite the same idea as s...

Join back the game after crash
Hi guys The feature I miss the most is the possibility to come back to the game after it has crashed. I've seen it in many games and I think it would be a great improvement in spring. I know it might be a hard stuff (sync again and bandwidth)... Thanx for your attention and you efforts in spring Che...

CA 1574 mouse over build bar = X freeze
Hi I investigated and found that if I mouse over the build bar X freeze... Doesn't do it in BA, no trace in infolog, Archlinux, ATI with catalys 8.3. Disabling build bar prevents the crash I feel that it is because builb bar is over three grey order buttons so they don't know which one to activate. ...

Re: Balanced Annihilation V6.21
anything in the infolog? No. The strangest thing is that yesterday on one map, about the third of the players (we were 16 so it is relevant) crashed at the same time... two games in a row (twice on the same map)... As players were partly different I think I must have involved 8 of the players. Yet,...

Re: Balanced Annihilation V6.21
See the first page of the thread, apparently I am not the only one seeing this bug appearing in BA 6.21 (never had it in 6.1). Yet you may be right, this might come from LUA. So I'll investigate with disabling IceUI for a while and see if it reproduces That's for the errors in the log obviously. Any...

Re: Balanced Annihilation V6.21
Yesterday I crashed Twice in a middle of a game, no mesg in infolog, mouse frozen... (Archlinux, ATI Catalyst). People say that at every release, but, I can promise that before it didn't crash approx 1/2 game... Any news about this? LuaRules::RunCallIn: error = 2, AllowCommand, [string "xᅴ...

Re: Balanced Annihilation V6.2
Hi there! Me and a few others (but not all) get spammed/flooded by this message during the game now: LuaRules::RunCallIn: error = 2, DrawWorld, [string "lups/ParticleClasses/distortionfbo.lua "]:180: Incorrect arguments to gl.Texture() Help? :-) same here LuaRules::RunCallIn: error = 2, A...

Re: Unit Menu / Button Size
Thanks for the tip, I'll look into it tonight. Is there a doc on it this file (I can't find it) or should I try and check? BTW, I don't see either le build % on the progress bar, nor the spawn points on the minimap (/!\ Noob question Warning /!\) should they be there on standard linux version, or sh...

Unit Menu / Button Size
Hi, I've noticed that between my linux and windows box, the selected unit menu buttons are quite bigger on Linux than on windows. Both games run on the same resolutions : 1440x900. Actually the items buttons on linux take 3 pages on the commander and only 2 on win. I tried to whell up/down as you ca...

Re: Sync Problems 0.76b1 / fresh OTA content
I recompiled springlobby and spring with no option whatsoever (had to symlink some things after that, which is a bit dirty) But it worked eventually ! The sync problems were ingame, but the springlobby was not uptodate... I don't think the lobby is the cause, but yet i don't see options like "p...

I am now trying by the book
Code: Select all
scons configure
scons
scons install
mkdir -p /etc/spring
echo '$HOME/.spring' > /etc/spring/datadir
