Re: Subforums for the larger mods
Forboding Angel, thank you for creating these forums. But I'm not sure this is the best idea, for the same reason that I find weird that Spring has now TWO sites. Unless of course the idea is to migrate all the discussion not strictly related to development to springinfo (even then, where AI and Lua...

Re: Spring's Player Stats / Peak Hours
I don't see that many newbie (1chevron) players in games. http://planetspring.free.fr/spring/stats/graphs/graph_51_4.png Why? They can't be all using TASCLient for singleplayer, since there's not that many of them. http://planetspring.free.fr/spring/stats/graphs/graph_55_4.png So they are mostly pla...

Re: Some new unit order ideas
Why not? Spring is already drastically changed compared to TA, why stop adding new functions now? Bombers already attack ground once if you give an attack ground order then a move order. No, they don't. Also, when using the fight command, your units will stop to fire at any enemy in range. They won'...

Re: Subforums for the larger mods
Also for example BA once had their very own forum. It was just an empty wasteland though with like a max of 5 people posting something regularly. So why considering doing a very own forum when the by far most played mod can't get a community big enough to have any relevant discussions going on. It ...

Re: Subforums for the larger mods
And imho the "Clans & Tourneys - Clan Recruiting - Clan Battles - Tournaments" should be also about talking about games other than those of clans and tourneys. What? That would get used about 1% of the time in the world. that's just one random topic on the first page And do not the Li...

Re: Subforums for the larger mods
It's ridiculous that for instance CA has a 73 pages long thread. Who is going to bother to read all of it? If nobody reads it, who is going to find out about the new Chicken Tag ? EDIT: And what if someone wants to comment on Chicken Tag when it's buried beneath 5 pages of not related CA posts? Anot...

Maximized minimap should conserve proportions
Or at least fill all the available screen space. Most people have widescreens now and it's annoying to have all those empty borders on the sides, especially when the map itself is not square.

I really like springinfo's 3D tag cloud. It's to other 2D tagclouds like Spring to TA.

[TASClient] Spec closed games
Usually the host closes a game to prevent more players coming in. The problem is that it prevents more spectators coming in too.
Maybe there should be three settings: closed for new specs, closed for new players, and closed for both?

Some new unit order ideas
- Being able to order units to attack ghosted buildings: In http://spring.clan-sy.com/wiki/Using_Or ... ing_Orders it is said Or you could tell your units to attack certain buildings in a certain order, for instance attack all the outlying metal extractors, and them go for the power plants in the ba...

Re: [BA Strategy] What's the T2 counter for mass Stumpies?
Yes, I was specifically talking about the attack, because on maps like DSD, dragon teeth in defense work fine.
Though there's also the case of the maps like DSD island, where nothing seems to beat a horde of stumpies - and if you block them with dragon teeth they'll just drive around your defenses!

Re: Defense Range v5.11
IMHO it's best to keep the widgets separate, so that you can de-activate some of them if you wish, but we do need to be able to separate them in different categories, a bit like in Ice UI. BTW, did you fix the spec problem with the unit marker? (Specs are adding automatic markers too) It might be in...
