yep, i have the alpha, although it's not really ready for production use, i'll work on porting the importer/exporter I'm working in it, 2.5 is looking realy GREAT. heh, if you are interested, I can unwrap models for you. It takes about 2 hours to unwrap the model for me... there is example of one model from last months that i made and unwrap. It was planed to be a model for one mod, unfortenately I created better concept for such "thing" and model it...

you do not need that for an alpha map, I only use groups for textures that I have alternate versions. disable the alpha channel. Are you gimpers still without layer masks? I tried this, didn't work. Also deleting the alpha channel didn't help. It seems like Gimp applied the alplha channel to rgb channels and cleared the transparent areas. Blender loaded image right. (talking about arm_annihilator1....
