New Map - Green Valley
Decided to have ago at my first spring map, nothing exciting, simple East West divide with valley and river. Reasonable metal, and 6 geo vents, wind 10 to 25. Sizeable crossings and ramps onto the cliffs, heightmap created in Grome. http://dev.ironfoot.co.uk/maps/GreenValley.jpg Map Download: http:/...

Re: Ubuntu 8.04, APT missing libglew1.4
Morning, thank you for the replies.
The apt im using is from the Wiki installation page:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/spring/ubuntu hardy main
As I mentioned its clean installation yesterday, and fully updated. The error only appears for the spring-engine package.

Ubuntu 8.04, APT missing libglew1.4
Hi, just tried install Spring on my fresh Ubuntu system and comes up with cannot find/install libglew1.4 through the package manager.
Though if I do a search for libglew I can find version 1.5 (so newer).
Any suggestions?

Afternoon, have a few ideas knocking around and would like to have a shot at putting them into a small Spring Mod. Looking for someone who's experienced in scripting, (BOS/COB/LUA) and general Spring modding. As for the graphics I would be covering that area myself, (modeling, uv mapping, texturing)...

Yup, never please the crowd :) to many varying opinions, taste and styles. Still when I get time will tidy up the mesh and upload, will have to search for a license (normally use EULA). Perhaps someone should start a dedicated thread to only list all available, completed* 3d Unit public content. Pro...

well thanks for the comments, feedback! Snipawolf - Yes, textures need to be finished, somewhat lacking in detail - all that Spring needs now is normal maps, parallax or relief :). SinbadEV - To be honest I don't really want to get involved in modding as such - if I release it then people can always...

Solar Panel (Tech1?)
Had a couple of hours spare the other night and thought it would be an idea to come up with a possible replacement for the Arm or Core Tech1 solar panel (theirs an animation at the bottom of the post for it folding out). http://www.dark-forge.com/downloads/solar01_v001.jpg http://www.dark-forge.com/...
