Afternoon, have a few ideas knocking around and would like to have a shot at putting them into a small Spring Mod. Looking for someone who's experienced in scripting, (BOS/COB/LUA) and general Spring modding.
As for the graphics I would be covering that area myself, (modeling, uv mapping, texturing).
The general theme is Earth Defence Force (EDF) and the Outer Rim Confederation (ORC) are engaged in a brutal war of attrition in an attempt to claim ruleship of sol.
The general background is the Outer Rim Confederation is over seen by a number of wealthy large monopolised corporation. Heavy industries spanning from the moons of Saturn to the cold Iridium mines of Pluto & beyond.
In late 2130 Earth choose to purse a more aggressive policy in an attempt to reclaim, tax and control of the outer rim corporation's, in part due to failing resources within the inner rim, and the high artificially prices on low grade materials from the outer rim.
A number of attempts where made to negotiate an accord, though soon came clear no treaty could be signed. (more story in this area)
Earth dispatched the remainder of its fleet in a surprise attack on Saturn's Moons to forcibly reoccupy the industrial installations. Little resistance was met, as a result Saturn has now returned to Earth ruleship.
The Outer Rim Confederation responded with equal force, dispatching superior ships and technology's, though the dogged determination of the EDP and large well of manpower proved.... war ensued.

General synopsis is two main teams, EDF & ORC, with the possibility of a further two which would include Mars and an external race not born of Sol.
The main priority would be to complete one faction (EDF) before working on the second (ORC).
Each faction will have a Command HQ Building which will be able to produce a small range of vehicles, including further construction
units (and possible addon modules?).
Standard range of buildings will be available, (Power stations, production, resource mines etc) - main limiting factors are buildings will only function if within range of a power station or energy transfer unit (or any other main structure linked).
Number of turret types, laser, particle or combustion - the latter can be built outside power supply zones but require resupplying by air or ground vehicles.
EDF will tend to have lower tech units but faster production - they also require to build a research structure to access level 2 tech.
As for the ORC, the main difference will be is their tech levels, and better quality (but more expensive) units. Their Command HQ will be a seizable structure which is mobile, along with an internal shielding unit & resource puller.
The general style of play will be geared to a slower game turn over (but still allow quick sorties) - Defences will play a larger role, and general base infrastructure would be key to production & resupply.
As for the development, focus would be on working a small amount of high quality units, making sure major bugs are squashed and the main gameplay is refined before any release would take place. Further versions would then hopefully correct any issues, expand on available units and introduce the second faction.
As I mentioned in my first post I would be covering the effects & graphics myself - all I need is someone to bounce a few spring specific questions off, & to put a few of the basic units in.
