Well I think if this is what Caydr wants to do, go for it! That said you have such extensive knowledge of spring... why not try creating something entirely of your own design? It could be incredible!

Nah, unfortunately the old team broke up, and several large projects were abandoned. I decided to try and get this going again as it's a bit more manageable then an MMO.

Do you know if there is anyone working on putting dynamic lights into the engine at this point?

Indeed, the player color texture areas are determined during a units design. We will certainly take ease of distinction into account when applying texture areas to the models.
