indeed mothers mapconv is the best version atm
that auto tree&grass thign seems usefull indeed but changing those colors thing doens't seems to ahve any use to me but I might have missed something

lol funny on my screen at home the pictures looked really extremely dark It was so dark you couldn't really see the differance between a total black tex map but here on the univ on a tft screen it look great! guess i'll increase my brightness abit : ) hope my maps arent hyperbright on your screens :...

As you can see on the screenshot half of my map is white : ( you can still walk on it, and color it black when shooting on it etc even my heightmap is applied as you can see on the minimap the texture file I used didn't ahve this white thing I tried a few things, used mothers mapconv and the normal ...

Thx all for the reply I tried the programs you spoke about here: world machine isn't really a program for making maps for games liek spring I think it has a complicated erosion system etc so its very realistic . . . and thats not really what I need didn't find any toosl to manually edit the terrain ...

when I see all these fine maps with beautifull mounatins and then I look at mine made with a photoshop brush on 10% op and 10%fill, using blur tool etc . I know I'm doign somethign wrong I've found a topic here with a link to a page with some programs for this but they all quite suck I tried terrage...
