Summary0002371: Too dark terrain visible at the coast transition
DescriptionThe SSMF waterline is visible if a water shader that has differing heights is used. I dont know if this is fixable - or even a priority - or can be made to disappear through clever use of some SSMF setup I'm unaware of.
Thank you very much in advance for looking into this.
Additional InformationAttached are some screenies to show the effect with water 1, 2 and 4.
Setup is win7 64 with intel cpu and 8800GT gpu with new drivers.

Beherith (reporter)

This bug is visible both in 82.7 release and latest master, it may not be related to dynamic sun because it was visible before that afaik. Also, its not the dark terrain bug, it seems to be related to a difference in specularity between the underwater and the dry areas.

Beherith (reporter)

This bug is visible in 0.82.3-1915-g23695d2
Note how the terrain is lighter underwater where the waterplane is at <0 height

jK (developer)

It's a bug in the new smf shaders
