| Description | Spring.exe should give more & better error messages instead of just crashing with no meaningfull message, ie when a 3d model or unit/effect/weapon is faulty. meaningfull message: "could not load blatank.s3o - reason" current message, useless to moddevs: Spring 0.82.6.1 (0.82.6.1) has crashed. 2178 seems to be about "missing s3o textures" only. but there are other things that crash spring.exe without good error message too. |

we can just add better error handling for specific stuff, not for "everything", speaking of practice. it would be good if you could post a sample mod for testing, though, if it is really just textures, then yeah, that should be fixed in master already. |

if a mod/map does not show up in map/mod list it would maybe be good to have message on this. reasons why this could happen: -sd7 with wrong folder structure -error in modinfo.lua -file with same name already exists in different datadir ie spring\maps and all user\...\documents\maps |
