A lobby bot for muting people who swear or use foul language in user channels

First, register a username for your banbot, and open slurbot.txt

v0.2 fixes a bug with interactions with cookiebot in a channel and case sensitivity

The first three lines should be:

username
password
you username
a random slur
your initial channel
how long each mute lasts for

replace where appropriate.



Save and run.


Banbot takes the following commands:

!slur obscenity
!unslur obscenity
!op username
!deop username
!slurlist
!oplist
!slurbotclose
!join channel password
!leave channel

When slurbot joins a channel or leaves a channel it will remember and join those channels it was in the last time when it starts again. Slurbot doesnt do per channel slur lists yet so put slurbot in the channels you want, and make sure it has operator status, and try not to put Slurbot everywhere.

nope, impossible, not without modifying the server and integrating it in, or filtering it client end in tasclient.

slurbot v2 fixes a cookiebot channel issue (user with bad name enters, cookiebot prints it out in debug message, slurbot mutes cookiebot), it also fixes a hole in case sensitivity, slurs are now case insensitive.
