At seemingly random times when I fire up one of my maps, its texture will permanently change to something like this:
The texture will turn a pale reddish, what its supposed to be is in the minimap.
Anyone know what causes this?
Did you rename the smt file after you compiled it? If so, that's the problem. The smd/smf can be whatever you want as long as the names match, smt MUST stay the same name as it was compiled with.
If you haven't renamed the smt then it must be an issue with the smd.
Open one of my later maps, like industrial mountain or evad river confluence or riverglade and rip the settings out of one of those smd's and see if it affects the look of oyur map. I imagine it's the lighting, sky and ground ambient colors that's causing you trouble.
