Hello, I follow the development of Spring and the AutoHost Springie already for a while, great project Licho, at the moment i try to let run a dedicated server in a VMware (Debian ROOT-Server).
However, I fail in missing direct3d support of the VMware.
Error Message: Update Drivers
'Needed extension GL_ARB_texture_env_combine not found!'
Is it possible to disable rendering completely and checking for this Extension?
Would be it to be inserted possibly a start option like /minimise rendering completely switches off and also does not check the direct3d support?

I'm reasonably certain that VMWare's virtualization stuff (Workstation/Server and up; Player is shit) has drivers available for the VM. Do a search online; I was planning on playing spring in an Ubunutu install and did find instructions for simulating a 3D Hardware accelerator - just Google, and then seach VMWare's knowledge base and forums.
Yes i know about that, but this require a Host with a 3D enabled Hardware, on a Internet-Server i dont have this :)Dragon45 wrote:... find instructions for simulating a 3D Hardware accelerator - just Google, and then seach VMWare's knowledge base and forums.
Secondly this Alpha solution from VWWare supports only Win2k and WinXP, not Win3k (my favorite). Ref: http://www.vmware.com/support/ws5/doc/w ... d_d3d.html
Thanks for Reply
EDIT: tested, not worked for me at WinXP
