Mouse Enhancement

Ok, so this isn't really all that useful, but why not?
It's a LuaUI implementation of the classic xeyes toy.

I think having support for 5+ button mouses should have priority.

I have no problems with my extra buttons and this thing has 8 buttons if you count the application switcher and in game I use 5 of them :P... not counting my sensitivity buttons :P

but hey, good to know we can stay on topic.

Trepan, please check your pms.

lemme guess

Logitech Mx518?

Thats what I've got and it matches your description well.

You can go into the mouse settings and make the sensitivity buttons act as a button on the keyboard. But I dont want to do that for Mouse4 and Mouse5 as other games have bindings for them.

On topic.

Heheh this LUA stuff is going to make lots of useless junk.

not true, you say useless junk... but not true at all. It will allow moders to add gui functionality that simply wasn't there. In time there will be a lot of interesting stuff happening with the gui. Which IMO is more important then your mouse bindings.

The spring gui is one of the single most irritating things after the desync issue is considered(which is of course #1). The gui controls how you can interact with your units in game... call it useless all you want but the gui is pretty important. We really need more functionality with the way we interface with the game. a mouse binding can only utilize a pre-existing command a gui can do more then that.

We need a good gui and this will facililitate many new features, of course if they go and fix the gui people whine about something.. oh wait... too late. Look, it will be usefull and it is not some simple eyecandy. Right now the gui is bad, it is difficult to use, provides limited information and it needs improvement. This gives us a way to improve that.

If the mouse button thing was SUCH a grating issue, have you made a request through mantis? That would get the issue looked at.

My 5 button mouse works fine, buttons 4 and 5 change the build spacing, and I can bind them to something else if I want...
