Does anyone have an AAI config for Balanced Annihilation 4.41?

No
AAI configs ae textfiles you hand edit.
NTai configs are more complex but they're much easier to edit because you have a nice GUI tool to edit them with.
Try out NTai Toolkit and read the Quick Help page to get the gist of howto start. A very simple config can go a long way and you dont need to understand everything to make it work.
In the end NTai configs give you more power, and let you go much further than the AAI configs could ever go in improving the AI.

I've been looking and I can't find an up to date NTAI Tool Kit download. All the ones I've seen say the file's out of date and it doesn't have any download links.
I also don't have a copy of NTAI that works on the new version of Spring. Can't find a download for that either. I tried looking at your thread about NTAI but it's so long I'm not sure what page it would be on, I tried the last two first but didn't get much luck there.

It is really easy: all you have to do is copy the AA configuration file and rename it.CaptainMaim wrote:Does anyone have an AAI config for Balanced Annihilation 4.41?
IE:
C:\Program Files\TASpring\AI\aai\cfg\mod\AASS223.cfg
to
C:\Program Files\TASpring\AI\aai\cfg\mod\BA441.cfg

I looked, and I don't have the config file for that version of AA. I tried copying the config file from a diff version of AA and had no luck whatsoever.
Are there other files that have to exist for my renamed config file to work?
Where should I look to debug this on my own? Just start a game and catch/log exceptions and go from there?

The config is the only file you have to provide. There are other files, but they are generated by AAI in the process of learning and should not be touched by humans. Which one have you tried to copy?
Any AA config should work if commanders and scout units are the same (that is, every one of them that was in old version is also present in the new one).
As for debugging: if AAI has troubles finding the correct config for a mod, it will say so at the beginning of a game (right after the commanders are spawned). Look in the chat log for that.
Also, AAI won't play well on some maps. Mars, for example, or most any very bumpy map. Try starting a game on Comet Catcher (or Green Comet) - that map is AAI-friendly.
