Trouble with compaction

Post by manored »

I just made a testing purposes map (so bad that it almost made my computer crash then I used it  ) but for some reason it doesnt work then its on an sd7 file, only then he is seperated on the 4 pieces we use to do the sd7 file.Anyone haves an idea of how this happens?

I also wanna ask how you make to define an area where the texture will be diferent from the rest of the texture and if its possible to make workable textures with paint.

The 4 files have to be inside a folder called "maps" when you compress them.
So it should look like:

Archive
>>>>>maps/
>>>>>>>>>yourmap.smf
>>>>>>>>>yourmap.smd
>>>>>>>>>ect ect

And I think you'll have to use BZip2 compression when packing it with 7zip. I had some issues when using other methods once...

Any folder named maps is good. Make sure to include the folder in the archive though.
