Nano Particle Swapping?

Is there any way to change it some spore like color? A yellowish orange color? Or would it require some kind of overhaul? Or a hacky work around?

I plan on aliens duplicating themselves using spore like things...

My idea if I can't do it easily is to have the unit have a flamethrower-ish weapon that sprays over the target object being built, of course not doing damage.

You can change the colour of the nanospray, if that's what you're asking.

I can't remember how though

And yeah, you can change the graphic. It uses CircularThingie.tga. As for the color... see my entries in NanoBlobs... I think it's Particles.tdf or something.

I think the texture is assignable in the unit's TDF. So, if you mean by "team" that everybody is playing the same Side (GD, NI, whatever)... yeah, it'll work just fine.

For myself... I'm about to ready to get rid of nanospray entirely for NanoBlobs... just FYI. I have finally figured out how to do it without extensive modifications to the units and their scripts.

No, that'd be stupid since it'd still have the same performance drain. You can tag your units to not use nano, the only issue is how you make it clear that the unit is building.
