Numpad for teams 11-19

Post by TradeMark »

Now we cant look teams 11-16 when watching replay, would it be okay to add numpad numbers for teams 11-16 ? 1 = 11, 2 = 12 etc.

I'd rather have a modfier key mapped to 1, 2, 3, etc. Hitting ctrl/shift/alt+1, 2, ... selects team 11, 12, ... think that is more handy than using the numblock.

The number keys could togglle/cycle through the players who's unit was that number. Eg 1 would toggle through players 1,11,1,11 etc. With the new patch that indicated who you're spectating in, this would work imo.

How about we make a keybinding called "specgroup #",
and then yall can decide for yourselves which keys you'd
like to use.

EDIT: "specteam", not "specgroup"

Not everyone has a numpad. Especially not those of us who use laptops.

The "specteam" action has been committed to svn.

something related to this, that got lost when the 1-0 specteam keys were introduced, was the LOS status, i mean the exact LOS that the player had when playing.

You can get that effect by pressing "L" key, but its better by cheating and using .team x in a replay.

I was showing a replay to a guy, and he asked me "well if you can see that incoming, why dont you help it".. which was a false impression by how 1-0 works in replays right now.

Somehow, it needs to be cyclical, so i can also have the option of just hitting a single key (capslock?) and cycling through every player

Not capslock, i dont have it :D
What about TAB button? hmm... though it makes the full map view mode... thats btw real crap key for it, because people press it very often when they try to draw, and for some people in some maps that TAB button causes crash.

Are , or . used yet? Mapping cycle+ or cycle- to them would be good idea indeed. Also if trepan makes it a key bind then you don't have to worry about that.
