Aligning units with formations

It's pretty annoying that when you tell units to take a formation they end up in all kinds of orientations, it'd be more useful if they tried to align themselves with the formation. Especially for units with limited fire arcs, slow aiming weapons or other features that make it important which way the unit is oriented.
