The red arrow makes the icon look misleadingly lopsided. Otherwise, put it in.

I'm not sure what you mean here. The red arrow isn't in the icon. It's just a custom Windows shortcut arrow.

I had my custom shortcut icon set to a tiny GBA Link Sprite... that was teh cools.
