How do you affect craters? As in, how big / deep they are?

(The Epic Legion's Lasgun gouges huge holes in the earth for no apparent reason)

Generally the default damage and area of effect are used to calculate map damage, the tags craterboost and cratermult affect it (don't apply to beam lasers AFAIK, I had all of them at zero and beam lasers still caused craters. Giving them an aoe of 16 or less prevents craters, I think) and maybe the impulsefactor and impulseboost play a role, too.
