First thing... I expect to release a second version of this at a later date (IE when teh new map format is finished) with features and such...

I cant thumbnail so there and to be fair theres no difference...

Trying to see whats rude... but failing admrily!! :-)

And If the metals screwed i need to know befor I release version 2...

Well I wanna see what the map looks like before I wait for a 1600x1240 image to display in a separate tab.

Yes, however I have to time to present this all nicely and, as I said, I have no clue how you do thumbnails...

I wanted coments on the map, not my post... :(

and there 1200 x 900 or somthing like that.. I always size them down slightly. (1900 x 1200 is a bit big for most people)

In photoshop paintshop etc

Resize image to 180x120
Save as
add _thumb or w/e to the end

You might also wanna change your links so they dont show raw urls.....

Or put them up on fileshack, it automatically generates thumbs and forum code for linked thumbs and saves traffic.

You should have put them on unknown-files.net along with the map, unknown-files generates thumbnails quite nicely....

Put GIGANTIC, high-detail statues on each of the four corners of the straits. so 4 statues in all.



they would be Guardians. Knights in shining armor etc

I've a critique about the texture if you don't mind.

The area where the shore meets the water should have a dirt texture instead of a grassy one, to show erosion.

However, it would be ok to put a grassy texture for areas on steep river banks, since the river water rarely rises high enough to erode the soil.

In other words your neat idea is infact sitting half finished on my mates computer... that was goona be the nice surpires in version 2.

Anyway, end of my getting upset...

I know how to make a thumb image, I ment how do I put them in teh forum insted of links... Dispite me being here 3 years I dont know what the BB code is to do so... (thius is still the only forum I have ever used...)

On the Gardians (not that someones guesed it) they will not be destructable or reclaimable. Also teher not replicas of teh lord of the rings one, that would just be cheating.

Also... Whilest me and my mate are finishing them they might turn out crap... if so I'll be giving LathanStanley a call. :-)

Zsinj... did I like acidently tell you I was going to do that or somthing... Its so unfair.

And 1 last thing.. its rotational symatry not mirrored... :P

well thats a good deal aGorm... I was just kins meaning "in general" if you need features to ask...

I'm working with ferboding right now... but meh, his shouldn't take TOOO long..


but I do have interest to finish that one building I started.. whenever that comes to be :roll:

but my tyranids are like done... just still trying to get the Alpha Channels to work on em so they are "simple" to put on maps... and I'll do it for all my features, or someone I convince to help me will.. possibly smoth.. if he's still around... :P

but yeah... I'm crankin em out for the next week or so... after that, skool starts again, and I'll be runnin idle again.. :cry:
