Maphack
it has a pretty cheesy looking flash video "showing it in action," which makes it impossible to discern with certainty if the maphack is real or not. Does anyone know if the .exe actually works? and/or if it just installs virus crap on your computer, as can be expected from warez-ish junk like this.

I think you would have to run the cheatprog in the backgroud or something..not changing the spring.exeIt was my understanding that spring checksummed its code and sent it to the host, and generated desync messages if it didnt match hmmm....
The cheat would have to poke around in the memory of the spring.exe and change it to display enemy units too.
The question is, does every client even get the info of all units from the server or only the stuff that is visible? Because then it wouldnt be possible to cheat, I think.
The video doesnt prove anything to me, the rectangles around some stuff even look edited?
My AntiVir didnt find a virus but I dont dare to start the .exe anyway

Removed the links, be they malicious or be they real hacks they don't need to be publicly available. People caught hacking maliciously will be banned first offense. If someone trusted wants to test this in a controlled environment for informational purposes I can give you a link, however this is NOT an invitation to start hacking in spring.
My bad, terribly sorry.SwiftSpear wrote:Removed the links, be they malicious or be they real hacks they don't need to be publicly available. I played with XHC few times and obed some players from it and it seems like they map hack way they play so wouldnt be suprised if people havnt made there own little hacks, every other game on market has map hacks I guess it was only mater of time before TA spring got one...

Well seeing as magi101 refuses to upload and link the replays of XHC "map hacking" for some reason...I thought id do it.
If youre offended by bad language please close your eyes at around the 10 minute mark on the second replay as I think I say the F word, naughty me.
Enjoy!
(Im a memeber of XHC in case anyone wasnt aware)
