Post by mufdvr222 »

No visible metal as yet, but there will be in the final version, the map is playable though, this version uses blendmaps derived from L3DT.

Hawt. But when youre taking screenshots, set your viewdistance way up so the map isnt LOD'ed.
Love your rock texture.

I agree, its difficult to reproduce the texture shading on the hillsides, at the moment I don`t have a solution for this. :|

<EDIT>Updated shots, I still need to add at least another layer to break up the grass.
Download link is updated with this latest version. 8)

Probably the best looking 5mb map I've ever seen that's for sure. :)

He can't. It wasn't implemented yet in that version.

I found a sweet new cliff texture

Image

and here is the texture if anyone wants it, its seemless, but because of the darker area in the centre it will be noticeable on large areas.

Yeah, this ones more of a steep close up, something that would look out of place in hl2 but does in spring.

I agree with bruce. It is a nice texture but looks a bit out of place there. The texture is a bit too rocky/rough looking in my opinion.

In all my NMF maps the textures have another texture with the same name and an _bump.jpg after the name.

My naming conventions are generally pretty easy to follow... So easy in fact, I confuse myself a lot.. nevermind.

This is a bit much to ask..... Considering how easy it is to create them.
