[Request] Bi-Weekly Beta Compiles

Post by Slamoid »

Could one of the ppl with an actualy working toolchain please compile a (Windows) SVN version for testing? Hosting shouldn't be a problem, and I'd love to see if there's any way I can contribute new content for the new features before they're stabilized. Thanks! 8)

How about doing this every once in a while when there's major updates for more bugsquashing power? Maybe every week or three? Of course, no questions should be asked about the betas, only bug reports given, given the nature of a 'Beta' release.

I'd gladly do it. I'll ask someone about hosting as I dont wanna put too much strain on darkstars host bandwidth. That and I'll include the svn builds of NTai and AAI aswell.

Note that you can't play from the battleroom with new builds otherwise you'll run into a TON of de-sync's.

But you can test your mods with the new features and have a sneak peak before full release.

However you can play if you both have the same exe.
Just mention that you're using a test version in the lobby.

Maybe it's easier if I just build the test installer?

maybe that'd be best jelmer.

And I would prefer it somewhere persistent that doesnt have a longwinded url at the end of the uplaod process. So no bestsharing or yousendit

??? The filename is not changed when using bestsharing.com and with bestsharing the url has the filename in is so you aren't downloading mystery meat.
