about texture weight/count for the hardware

Post by emmanuel »

or can reduce the hardware request ?

because i try to cheat by using color
in a secret formula newly devloped in my mind...

Overclock. Failing that, download RivaTuner and lower every setting you can find.

Yes and no... Video cards are built to handle a certain amount of texture usage seamlessly, and the parts that are built to work with textures can't be used for other applications, so the difference between no textures and simple textures should be barely noticeable in most cases. It will slightly decrease FPS loss, but not so much that you can all of a sudden have 1000 more units on screen, you might get 1-2 more FPS then you would with normal textures unless your video card is really ancient and has trouble rendering the map texture alone.

yes 2fps is negigibl(except when hav only 1)

but i think about multipl not percent won/gain

and .s3o+the new map format + .cob without moving parts
=>how many time this can increase the framerate?
