Those mountains look kickass. It looks sorta like a porc map though. If it has any less then 5 players. Looks like it could be good for ffa though.

Looks pretty good! but it's not perfect yet aGorm!

Somethings:

- the grass looks a bit bland
- Metalpatches don't have a visiable groun texture
- Geovents don't have a crack
- also the idea of 5 patches which only give 4 metal @ the start position is a bit weird.... and the little metal around the geo is actually worth it!


but the mountains are very pretty... you still need to learn me that sometime :-)

EDIT

also the wind is a bit OP

7 wind on average is already more effective then solars....

once again Agorm, you have out done yourself.

i personally like not seeing metal patches, it adds some realisim to the game, after all when you extract for metal, you don't go arround and look for a bit of metal sticking out of the ground, you get some surveyors and other such people to look at stuff to.... i dunno.

i am assuming you made the ground bland to keep the file size down and i applaud you for that. as with the geovent crack, it would be nice, but it's purely cosmetic and does nothing for the gameplay.

so as my first of many map awards to come (ps these may become valuable i bit later on when i am dead, so keep them in a safe place somewhere) i am awarding

8 golden brown cookies out of 10 for the design
10 mighty megabytes out of 10 for the file size
and i haven't played it yet, so i reserve judgement for the ammount of killing krogoths out of 10 for the gameplay

I had to save grass for the top were it turns rocky... remember Im a fiule size man.

You cant pork as most of teh metal is outside the chokes (ok you can, but it wont work as well)

Realy needs 5 players or 5 teams... prob works with 3 aswell...

Its 16 x 16

I know NOiZE, I was pullin your leg.

I take your critasims very seriosly.

Next map will have visible geo vents.

Laso, maybe the wind is to strong, but I never build wind so I'd never realy know!!

The only thing i disagree with is visible metal... Im with mat on that.

About teh mountains... what is it you want to know?? Is it teh texture?? or the heightmap?? What bit you struggeling with?

and IMHO if you choose not to have visible metal, then don't make patches, but more like Aftershock metal distrubtion...

But then it's harder to get the teams even..

Heh, Thats my base spewing Missles onto the 2 gaat guns, in the fourth screenie, and a view of my base in the second (the arm one).

and yes, this map is porctastic. sorta.

Yes drone, but I changed the meatl layout since then..., If you pork now you will lose (unless your realy good at porking, but then theres nothing wrong with porking if your play style is to pork, because if the others cant beat you with the advantage of metal theyed have you'd deserver to win!)

(PS the screens were taken on the pork tastic version which had over double the starting metal and all the metal was withing your choke points.... hence why I changed it for release!)
