Progress bar?

Post by Eaglebird »

Remember the progress bar for units, where health was displayed along with, if it were building something, what health or progress it was at?

Is this going to be implemented, is it already and I just don't know about it, or has it been forgotten altogether?

I like the experience points and being able to see the actual health of a unit, but for things like Protectors/Fortitude and Silencer/Retaliator, it'd be nice to see how 'ready', per se, the nuke/anti-nuke is. As another side to it, maybe to see the weapon's reload progress when you control it?

Has this question already been asked? I bet I asked it a long time ago too... :P

build a nuke silo, make it make some nukes
watch closely

(hint: look at the red progress bar nest to the health bar)

I find that to be unintuitive and useless. It's too small to see unless you zoom all the way in, you can't tell when it's supposed to be finished, it is vertical instead of horizontal like the health bar.

It's finished when the top of the red bar is even with the top of the green bar.

Don't make excuses for the stupid ulgy useless progress bar. :P just because it's functional doesn't make it imune to improvement.

It works, it's noticable for ppl who botherd to look for it.
It doesn't take up 80% of you entire screen. so ppl complain?

wait for the new GUI, or if you cannot wait, help develop it.*

*well, you will have to wait until jouninkomiko finised cegui anyway

I think I've seen it before, but always wondered what it was. I'm not asking for something to be covering the bottom of the screen, but something that could give a little more info in the corner, maybe clean it up a bit too; like, have a health bar accompanied with its number reading (987/1000), and then a progessbar for something it's building, along with health, if applicable, beside it. I heard about the new GUI but I didn't know how far along or how dedicated the team (or whoever's working on it) is.
