Is there any chance at all we can get this? Honestly, all we need to have in order to do OTA style missions is allow the map maker the assign what units the player starts with.

Obviously a selectable thing in the lobby as to whether you want to do a skirmish or mission. Then whatever ai you have installed takes over (or another player for that matter, which brings me to my second point.

Please for the love of god allow us mappers to add sideless units to our maps static. As in if I want a jeffy that is not controlled by either side or an AI in the middle of my map, as soon as it's captured, it's mine.

For that matter, ressurectable features FTW.

THis would allow us map makers to give more flavor and variety to our maps, plus extend the fun gameplay of spring.

For campainge, have you try to modify startscript.lua ?
It's not hard, but it's not handy at all, I agree.

I would like to make an app to genereate lua script and have a good gui, but it's not as easy as it seem (at least for me). Perhaps during the hollyndays, in one month ... (I'm saying this for 4 month ^^)
