New map: SpeedMetal Duo

I made this new SpeedMetal version, to give speedmetal gameplay an extra
dimension.
I dont like speedmetal a lot, because there is not much space to build a base and it has only one pass to defend.
SpeedMetal Duo has a double amount of building space and has 2 passes.
I think this will make the speedmetal games more interresting.

Everything is the same as the old speedmetal, except the water:
The water is now acid and will bring damage to everything in it.

Sorry for the fact that speedmetal is uploaded 3 times to FU.
I forgot to login and didnt notice that the map was put in the public room.

The ratio of water to land is huge, and the water is useless if it's acid, why increase map size like that for nothing? :?

Its Speedmetal, damnit!
Speedmetal has no ships.
But for people like you i'm allready creating the Speedmetal Plus edition:
Speedmetal with water and sea battles.
Just wait 1 day...

More seriously, you could make a map with rediculous resources (ala speedmetal) but stick some good strategic terrain in there.

Thx for this fast Reply to the Speedmetall Problem
- and it is a good start. Speedmetall players have to choose for the first time - and have a tactical Problem. Artillery can fire over the Mountain in the Middle.

I think it is great, because it introduces very slowly such until yesterday Unknown Problems to the Speedmetall Players.

Now lets go to the Main Channel... and do some advertising

I'll kill anyone who makes speedmetal better. It incourages porcving, Techrushing and genrel shittyness.

excellent map..

now those speed metal players will have twice the options!

Still it should need some path trhough the mountains to connect the two paths.


maybe make a slowmetal version aswell.. so they keep the simple design of the map and get used to somewhat lower metal values (a bit lower then metal heck would be good i guess)

PS

I understand why a lot of ppl dislike SpeedMetal, but a large part of our community does like them. Well it's their choice and now they will need to defend 2 paths! So now they even might try a other map.

And to all speedmetal dislikers, you don't have to play it!

Bah i just loaded it up

and saw you made the mountains tiny!!! That's a BAD change, because now Bertha's will be able to shoot over the mountains

well berth'as placed in the middle can shoot like everywhere now


and higher mountains also looks way better

i always liked the high mountains on it

This time with higher mountains,
