Shared comms: multiple commanders at start?

Post by TradeMark »

It is kinda hard to start with only one commander when you are sharing comms.
With as many commanders as there is players in that team, it would be more fun. So everyone can start playing without waiting the single commander is building the base.

Shortly: Since "shared comms" is only way to control teammate units, to make it more fun: everyone would get their own commander at start, but they can still control teammate units.
Really easy to implement.

Maybe as an option for spring?

Edit: added that shortly thing.

That sounds fun ... something like a coup game style

with 2 commanders with the power to control the others
forces ...

sounds like a mod to me .. 8)

Would be interesting to add the option of allowing allies to control each other's units.

But, on the other hand, setting up games is becoming more and more complicated.
Sonn we will have to start giving courses for people to learn how to set up games.

/me scratches his head

Just ally normally with seperate comms, and use the "choose start position in game" option to start next to each other. Done???

You can't control your ally units that way though.

Shared units

Post by Pxtl »

What might be better would be just being able to "share units" from the "h" screen in a way that is actually sharing them, not just giving them away. The problem is that totally breaks the "teams" concept of Spring that it uses to decide what units you can order around.
