.:Map Re-Release:. Hills and Valleys

Post by Forboding Angel »

After badgering smoth and cie with questions about bryce (never used it before)... Here goes, my first map retexture made using bryce.

Layout is exactly the same as the previous versions, this one just looks a lot better :-)

BTW springs trees are teh suck imo.

It looks good, from what I can see, but the trees draw the eye away from the texture. :-)

maybe you should enlarge (or lessen the size of the texture a bit, so you get less smaller beige spots, and more larger areas of that..) further, without the trees, and brightened a bit, i looks sweet!

/Edit/

Beatiful map, fine without trees, plays brilliantly, we were always at war with east asia.

I think it is more visually appealing/appropriate when trees are a darker shade of green than the grass/vegetation.

I should note that the metal layout is strictly for 2 vs 2. Any more than that and no one will manage to have ANY resources.

I did it that way originally, and that's how I wanted to keep it. Besides, it plays oh so sexy.

Texture is kinda nice, though i kinda feel something is missing.. those "beige" spots are too big i think, V9 is still a bit to dark IMO.

it could need some rocks maybe?

10 - 25 Wind i mean COME on....

Average wind of 7 is more cost effective then solars!!!

Starting points are bad aswell
