New Map, intresting problem....

Post by Alex_H »

Hello all.

Well im new, played the game a bit, decided to make some maps. So here I am working on trial test map. Its nothing special atm but time will tell. But I have run in to a intresting problem, im sure I can figure it out myself, but im lazy and thought i'd see if anyone had a quick answer.

Anywho, heres the attached base texture and height map from my test map, I've followed the tut's and made a texture, its a simple 2048x2048 and the heightmap is 257x257 following the guides this is correct?

(The heighmap currently sucks arse and is only about 20% of what it should be)

Anyhow I thought all was well and went on to do a quick test and fully compiled the map. All went well until I fired up spring and got the following problem... an intresting one no?.

PS the texture imagage is badly compressed so looks awful!

Why was this hard coded in spring to begin with? Along with all the other fliped items like s3o textures, 3do models left to right?
