I suggest at least adding these lines to your config as they are very
useful (<key> is the key you are binding BTW)
bind <key> "+P0_CHANGE;+P0_RIGHT" -- cycle weapons up
bind <key> "+P0_CHANGE;+P0_LEFT" -- cycle weapons down
bind <key> "+P0_CHANGE;+P0_JUMP;-P0_CHANGE" -- easy grappling hook shortcut

also, make sure you get the doom mod as it is teh awsomes:

extract the mod "folder" to the root directory
` to bring up console
type "game modfoldername", example

then type to load a new map with "map nameofmap", example

(poo is a great small arena style map)
