im not sure which mods this applies to as ive only noticed it in XTA.. maybe its an engine thing.

but if i were to give my units to an ally "h" - "share units".. it really bugs me that all the queues vanish.. leaving this poor ally with double the base to control double the units and half of them stationary.. void of doing anything

its common thing to happen for someone to leave or ping to increase or lag become too much for them to work properly..

ive lost many a game mearly because i had to re-micromanage another players base.. is this do-able?

Be happy the queues empty and metal makers stop.
Mostly you give a base away which isn't fully functional anymore. So your ally has to suddenlty pay recourses for getting free stuff, becouse they are still all active.
SY's thought about this.

And having to micro 2 bases is indeed hard, but it's not suppose too be easy anyhow.
