Awesome! I was secretly hoping you'd remake this one. I think you read my mind.

NOiZE , all your remake are better than good!

This one don't change the rule.
I like the terrain texture, it's varied.

The icy block are a bit hard to see when shadow are not enabled though.
That's the only "bad" thing I can see.

*This should perhaps be in an another topic
About the terrain deformation...it seem that people don't like it.
300 is useless gameplay wise.
100 is perhaps a bit too much for standard map, but 200 seem quite ok for me.
(I'm a bit sad to not see the snow being deformed :))

For a snowy icey map it damn looks good.

All the rest look like they're made fo dull dirty snow filled with plastic leftovers (blue/greenish tints?) so that they dotn blind you btu that looks good

Er, why did you change the wind?

The Cold Place is known as a consistantly high wind map - half of what made it play the way it did was because it tempted you into building windfarms, but those were VERY vulnerable to raids, which could completely devastate your economy very quickly.

Other than that, cool.

Now that is an ice map that looks the part, and the features top it off, as well as the sky looking great and suiting the climate perfectly.

Er...bad. Not good at all o_O

I don't want to sound like a purist, but this really can't be called a remake any more if you're going to chance something that central to the balance of the map. Right now, you can go water and dominate the shores (since ships are mucho-powerful), but you need a LOT of metal. since there's no metal in the water, people can be starved out by wiping out their mainland bases, forcing them to try to tidal+mm farm to keep up. Putting metal in the water removes the risk from going water - there's really no more incentive to go anything BUT water now.

Oh please. Get over it. You are welcome to start making maps if you don't like it, or for that matter, just play the old version.

There is nothing wrong with metal being in the water.
