Well, I guess people finally started moderating the lobby, and I got banned in the can.
I was pissed off at FloppyDisk for kicking people for no reason, so I made the name FloppyDickisaFag. Decimator asked me to change my name, and I kept downgrading it and he kept kicking me until I made the name "KickDecimayter." Not really an offensive name, but Decimator was the one moderating, so he just gets to do what he pleases. The next name I tried to login with was "IDisagreeWithDecimater" but I was already ded. I can understand that making vulgar names could offend like, my grandma, when she plays spring, but "KickDecimayter" is not offensive. It's a request that 13 year olds not have the power to ban people.

Anyway, Caydr you're the man, and Spring I had fun playing/modding.

That said, I support unbanning him, with the understanding that there won't be any sort of "next time". Bannation is a little bit harsh for his crime, though mod-baiting should be frowned upon.

We don't really have a rule against vulgarity per say, but you aren't allowed to ostricize other comunity members. Also, when we mute you, changing your name to dodge the mute is a banworthy offence. Muting is temporary, so respect it, or get banned.

If you are hoping to get unbanned then personally insulting our moderation staff and stating that you are above the expectation we have that our members act mature is not helping your case.

I dislike continual harassment after I tell someone to do something.

You logged into the lobby with a vulgar name, I kicked you with a notice of why. You changed your name to a slightly less vulgar name. I told you to change it again, you changed it to an equally vulgar name. Then you changed your name to KickDecimayter which was just plain irritating. At this point I lost my patience and removed you from the lobby for the night.

I do not feel inclined to unban someone who calls me a 13 year old either, however, I will give you a second chance if you apologize.

What exactly did you expect to happen when you were abusive, vulgar, and responded to a moderator in an increasingly insolent way?

It was obvious to everyone present that you would keep harassing the lobby ad infinitum- I'm pretty sure that is why Decimator finally resorted to something you couldn't just username around.

How much time should a moderator donate to heeling your bad behavior? Why don't you try telling the community (or at least Decimator) why you should be un-banned.

EDIT: Aparently all you need to do is apologize... Damn my slow posting.

If anything, you weren't harsh enough. After the first warning, I think a one month ban is appropriate.

I think to be honest you are lucky they let it happen that long. Next time someone pisses you off just get over it.

Playing spring is a priviledge given to any person who is willing to at least try to be a mature and constructive member of our comunity. Chiss is banned because he indicated with his actions that he did not want to contribute maturely and wanted to generally frustrate the client moderators. If he's willing to try to act maturely and constructively in the future then we're willing to unban him.

Our moderators are there to keep spring a friendly and safe comunity chiss. This means we aren't going to let you abuse other members over lobby, and that does mean calling them offencive names. Deci was just doing his job and you made it hard for him. I don't see how you can argue that he was in the wrong for forcing you to stop immaturely attacking another member of the comunity and then removing you forcably when you refused to comply in even a semirespectful manner. If you want to prove to us that you are more capable of social competence then we have seen so far then we are giving you a chance to, but first I want you to understand why you were banned and what you need to do to stay unbanned in the future.

Yeah, I agree with the banning, and no sympathy either. It's good to see someone laying the smackdown; the lobby was getting a bit wild.

I also think warnings should be handed out to people who spam the lobby, either with repeated posts, or a single post with hundreds of the same character ("weeeeeeeeee...etc" and the like). Those get under my skin too.

I wasn't aware that I would get banned. If I ever play spring again, I will make sure to act in a way that moderators don't want to ban me, even if it means not playing if I don't like the host.

dude, in most cases if you can pm the moderator in question and give him evidence to believe you are not a bad guy bans can be lifted but becarefull not to step on too many toes or you will be hit harder.
