Certainly does. I suggest some burnt down trees in different shapes, combined with some bushes. Maybe even make some water flowing around, in small creeks? With a small lake, with trees etc in the middle? Than you could add some lodges too.. Would be great!

Map looks good, would be fit for some nice 8 + player ffa! Certainly would train scouting skills.. :)

Is that a grass plantation? It does look a bit bare, a little too bare, but it's nice and big.

Still a little bare.....

oh really? You guys want burned trees and bushes? Sure thing! We mappers will pull them right out of our asses!

Until then, you'll have to wait until a modeler does this stuff, because at the current moment, they don't exist.

that's not really an excuse imo. mappers should learn how to model things are ask someone to do it for them. Instead of pumping spring full with less good maps.

TBH, I only have SO much time and if all mappers made poor features
like the ones in genbloods map. I'd rather see featureless maps.

People can only get good at one or two things. The mappers are doing
what they can to push the quality of design and texture. I do not see a lot
of other knowledgeable people producing features.

I personally stopped working on my gundam mod just to make some
features and insure that they looked correct. I am not saying any names
... ARGH... but some of the other capable people need to stand up to the
need.

well, at least a few vanilla trees would have been nice.
Right now, this is like a 5 km^2 golf fairway.

quoted for truth

Besides, try download the map. It's super pretty. Doesn't need trees btw imo.

IMHO, the only things keeping this map from being really quite something are:

1. The lack of water. No IRL terrain with this much green doesn't have a water supply. I'd have to vote for small, very shallow streams- not serious obstacles, but just a feature to add completeness

2. The green is too saturated. Would humbly suggest adding some brown to it with a simple color change- just a bit more red would make it feel a bit more real.

Otherwise... sure, it'd be nice if it had features, but it's really quite pretty as-is. Nice map.

My only criticism is that the map design seems to be similar to the C&C style "two-tier" height design, where you have the "low ground" and the "high ground" seperated by "cliffs" and joined by "ramps", with no other variation in height. While this is a bit more fluid then those maps, it does seem a little towards that style. Perhaps fluctuating the height of the hills a little might help.
