Spring drawing contest

Post by Drawer »

I was thinking that maybe Spring community could hold a TA Spring drawing contest. People should draw a picture with spring drawing tools and then the community could vote the best picture drawn.

What do you think about this? Is it just silly?

As much time as I've spent drawing phallic objects and other various annoying things while speccing, I still think this is kindof a dumb idea. I'd rather see an MS paint contest if we're looking for distilled art talent in extreamly limiting circumstances.

I think an open skinning contest would be more useful, competitive and informative.

We would need one nice new model, ready unwrapped for those that don't know how to do that part.

Limited texture size - to be agreed in advance.

Submitted textures to be uploaded for everyone to see, with screens of the model in game. (With inverted alpha channels, or we wont see much.)

Remember I said useful, competitive and informative, s3o has not yet had the impact we might have hoped for. Let's try and make it more accessible.

And...

Winner decided by poll.

Great idea Weaver. The winner should be made to "volunteer" to write a tutorial, too ^^
